Intermountain Microfilm Service was formed in September 1983 when its founders, Janie Wait and her parents, Richard and Harriet Hatfield,
purchased Wyoming Microfilm Service. As they honed their expertise in microfilm production,the business continued to grow and
in 1994 as the partners created a corporation to offer secure confidential shredding services statewide. Janie pursued her certification
as a records manager and entered the MBA program at the UW where she developed a business plan to add scanning, media conversions
and a commercial record center to their services. The company become Intermountain Record Center, Inc. in 1999. Janie
received her CRM in 2002 then negotiated and designed IRC's current 8000 sq. ft. facility at Casper/Natrona County Airport.
Janie presents records and Information management topics at ARMA International annual conferences since 2006 and is highly valued
for her records and information management (RIM) expertise internationally.
